My client is looking for a Demand Planning Manager responsible for forecasting and managing the demand for products or services within an organization.
To analyse historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to predict future demand and ensure that the supply chain can meet those needs. This involves optimizing inventory levels, aligning production plans with anticipated demand, and collaborating with various departments to achieve business goals.
Demand Planning Manager- The Role:
Forecasting, Operations & Analysis
- Develop and maintain accurate seasonal and monthly demand forecasts by analysing historical sales trends, market dynamics, and input from business teams.
- Lead pre-season and in-season forecasting processes to support merchandising, buying, and inventory planning.
- Provide detailed demand insights to support business decisions across product, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Manage inventory levels and allocations – matching demand and supply to manage the risk for fulfilment for clients.
- Liaise with Sales operations team to provide timely instructions to warehouse for fulfilling customer orders.
Cross-Regional Collaboration
- Act as the main demand planning liaison between the brands offices in Europe and RDG in Boston.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance teams to align demand plans with business strategies and seasonal initiatives.
- Ensure timely sharing of forecasts and updates with RDG and global partners to align on supply planning and inventory commitments.
System & Tool Management
- Leverage NuORDER for line planning, assortment visibility, and wholesale partner alignment.
- Utilise Infor Nexus for global supply chain visibility, tracking purchase orders, delivery timelines, and inventory flow.
- Use Styleman for Inventory control, free to sell stock reports and margin planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes and system integration across platforms.
Demand Planning Manager- The Person:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business, supply chain management, or engineering, along with several years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related areas.
- Experience in managing teams along with a good understanding of inventory management and S&OP processes.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management and S&OP processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
- Background in sports, fashion, and life-style or streetwear brands is preferable.
