Account Manager / Merchandiser - The role
- Responsible for raising/processing customers’ orders and after amending sending these out to factories.
- Liaising with customers regarding orders, problem solving and making decisions in conjunction with team leader and if required with Director.
- Ensuring that all the information, style, fabrics, trims, prices, shipment date and all other relevant information are correct and as per customer requirements.
- Ensuring customer requirements are achieved through all stages of the critical path from first sample, order, pre-production to final delivery.
- Meeting all pre-production stages of the customer, including fabric performance testing standards
- Ensuring all parcels with samples/submissions to customers and factories have correct and relevant and update to date information.
- Have effective communication at all levels with the teams, internally and external.
- When required attend customer meetings to ensure continued customer satisfaction and that all opportunities are capitalised on.
- Reporting to the Team leader / Director with weekly and monthly updates, on critical path and escalating issues where necessary.
- Ad hoc duties as required by management.
Account Manager / Merchandiser - The candidate
- Ability to build excellent customer and supplier relations.
- Understanding of garment production industry
- IT literate with sound experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programmes.
- Experience of managing fast-paced critical path.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent time keeping and ability to meet short deadlines.
- Ability to develop and inspire a close-knit team.
- Capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible approach to working to fast moving, changing demands.
- Minimum at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
