I am partnering with a globally recognised organisation who is looking to appoint an Ecommerce Merchandiser into the team. This business is a key player in the branded fashion world!

They are looking to recruit a strong and dynamic Ecommerce Merchandiser to play an important role across 3 of their brands.

 

As well as monitoring stock, maintaining margins, and forecasting sales, you will also play a pivotal part in driving sales onsite where possible. You will conduct competitor research, action markdowns, create reporting on stock coverage/ OTB/ sales trends, but also work with the wider sales team and stakeholders to provide suggestions on how you can keep pushing sales.

 

You will hold excellent numerical and analytical skills, combined with great organisation and understanding of commercial awareness.

 

They are a small team, so they need people who are proactive, forward thinking and of course a team player.

 

 

Ecommerce Merchandiser: The Role

  • Monitor key trading tasks such as stock management, fragmentation, and product returns.
  • Support planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.
  • Liaise closely with merchandising, operations, and customer service teams to improve efficiencies, trade, and customer experience.
  • Manage new product uploads, category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional activities.
  • Liaise with various teams for regular and ad-hoc content management system tasks and initiatives.
  • Be highly involved in user acceptance testing site testing for development projects and the regular site walks to ensure 100% accuracy at all times.
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce team for onsite optimisations such as product recommendations, upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and search improvements.
  • Assist with the day-to-day coordination of E-Commerce marketplace activities, e.g. product uploads, reporting, organizing stock transfers.
  • Report E-Commerce trade performance including KPIs, providing data-driven insight and conducting deep dives were needed to better understand shopping behaviours and trends.
  • Assist operations, E-Com, and sales/product teams with day-to-day tasks.
  • Manage constant stock clearance and inventory control.
  • Work with E-Com and sales to ensure size ratios for products are appropriately ordered each season. Ensuring all products on proposed buy sheet are ordered correctly.
  • Coordinate with marketing team to receive samples on time to be shot for seasonal and capsule launches.
  • Monitor web/E-Com stock and replenishments, liaising with warehouse on this.
  • Have a good understanding of target vs current stock levels and review against performance weekly.
  • Prepare appropriate analytics and business intelligence reports.
  • Analyse different price points for E-Com to determine the best price for various items based on trends, colours, styles.
  • Ensure stock fill rates in time for specific collection launches.
  • Monitor inventory issues – e.g. damaged stock and taking appropriate action (e.g. removing stock from web).
  • Have the ability to make analytical decisions that can help make strategic impact in other departments (e.g. pushing certain products to the top of our web categories if it is selling well for our other partners).
  • Contribute to department strategy demonstrating an ability to recognise innovative ideas and solutions, which have a commercial gain.
  • Deliver a ‘Digital 1st’ approach across the Group brands.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the D2C and e-commerce space, and proactively identify innovative merchandising solutions to enhance the online customer experience and stay ahead of the competition.

 

 

Ecommerce Merchandiser: The Person

  • 4+ years’ experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for streetwear fashion and trends.
