This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business within their Menswear department where you will be focused on tend-led Denim and Woven Multiproduct.

You will have a genuine passion for trend research and execution in line with the customers’ tastes and needs. You will put into work new samples and present them back to Retail Buyers at their Head Office.

This is one of the few suppliers that encourage travel as much as possible! Be it to factories or inspirational trips for your trend research, they enjoy getting their staff out and about.

This role requires the relevant person to have knowledge and expertise across Denim in terms of the fabric and washes.

 

Menswear Designer – The Role:

  • You will design commercial, fashion focused Men’s Denim and Woven Multiproduct collections for one of their largest and most exciting high street accounts.
  • Researching and identifying latest key trends, catwalk influences to inspire and develop new ranges, and to compliment and drive forward existing product lines.
  • You will liaise with the customer across all aspects of design work and in turn help to develop product that is in line with the brief and range plan.
  • You will be working in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Working closely with buying and merchandising teams to source, present and select commercial ranges.
  • Travel internationally on inspiration trips, as well as factory visits.
  • Excellent progression opportunities.

 

 

Menswear Designer - The Candidate:

  • This position is looking for someone with previous Denim design experience either across Menswear or Womenswear.
  • You will be a well organised, confident communicator, experienced in managing priorities and liaising with internal teams and external suppliers etc.
  • Proficient on Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change and able to work closely with buyers and present your idea's with confidence.
  • Have experience of working closely with overseas factories.
  • Excellent at building good internal and external relationships.
  • Happy to travel regularly to overseas factories as and when required.
