Doug is a  genuine people-person with a calm manner and clear strategic thinker, coupled with a wicked sense of humour. Clare Turner

Account Director

 A highly skilled and well regarded Recruiter, Clare has been a vital and influential part of the People Marketing team since 2002. Having studied Fashion, Clare came into industry, gaining a background in UK manufacturing, working in merchandising &  product development, marketing  and new business development, before moving into recruitment. She has excellent and varied industry knowledge, having worked for Coats Viyella Branded Menswear & Vermillion Corporatewear, and this depth of knowledge benefits her candidates and clients alike. Clare also has extensive International experiences, recruiting for positions across Europe, Middle East, Asia and the Far East. Clare always works at a furious pace, has an amazing memory for names, and multi-tasks to an astonishing degree. Her affable nature, attention to detail, and ability to think laterally in matching the right candidate to the right position means that she has a growing and loyal network of candidates and clients.

Holly Bishop

Senior Fashion Recruitment Consultant

Holly is an experienced fashion recruiter having worked in-house for the retailer Next before returning to People Marketing as a specialist recruitment consultant. Holly benefits from first-hand industry experience having worked firstly in retail ops for Dorothy Perkins, then as a Product Developer for the luxury brand Brora, where she developed knitwear and accessory collections. Prior to this, she graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Fashion Marketing & Communication. This combined experience means Holly understands the requirements of the jobs she recruits for, the needs of the Businesses she works with, and knows how to find the best candidates in the marketplace for her clients. She has a strong, honest work ethic and always strives to go the ‘extra mile’ to satisfy all parties involved in the recruitment process. Holly is an effective recruiter and has developed a varied and very loyal client base.

Aimee Ridler

Fashion Recruitment Consultant - Currently on Maternity Leave

Aimee is from a very successful Retail Management background and has worked for some well-known retailers such as French Connection, La Senza and Internationale. Having studied for a Design degree, fashion recruitment combines two of her favourite things; fashion and people.  She is passionate about the industry and loves the challenge of matching the perfect candidate to her ever growing list of clients. Aimee is driven and compassionate and has been known to receive gifts of gratitude from grateful recipients of her knowledge and expertise.

Kathryn Easdale

Fashion Recruitment Consultant

With over 11 years working as a Designer for both suppliers and retailers, Kathryn is our design specialist. She worked as a Ladies Outerwear Designer for Visage, a multi-product Designer at Vija Fashions and Prominent, and then a Men’s shirt Designer for C&A in Belgium, before moving into Recruitment. Kathryn is always in-demand from aspiring designers seeking advice on their portfolio and from clients who trust her to find talented candidates with the right handwriting for their brand. Her experience however is not just restricted to Design and her knowledge of Technical, Sourcing and Merchandising make her a sought-after recruiter. Kathryn has travelled extensively on sourcing trips and this combined with her personal experience of working abroad has meant she is equally comfortable working International as well as UK based roles.

Melanie Coote

Fashion Recruitment Consultant

Melanie has a wealth of experience in Fashion across a range of products and a variety of functions. After graduating in ‘Fashion Buying, Management and Retailing’ Melanie worked in Buying for the sportswear company Kitbag, before moving into a Wholesale Merchandising role for the babywear supplier Brecrest. She then joined the luxury label Burberry in London, where she worked as a Global Sourcing Coordinator across a variety of products including Outerwear, Knitwear, Softs and Jersey, covering Production Management, Costing & Negotiation, RM Procurement, Product Testing and Compliance. She also worked in collaboration with other departments such as Design, Product Development, Technical, Buying and Merchandising and Corporate Responsibility which has given her a thorough understanding of the supply chain and its roles.

The breadth of her experience within the industry has proven invaluable when assisting clients with their recruitment, and Melanie takes the time tounderstand the client’s requirements in order to find the best talent fit for their business. Melanie’s big passion is Womenswear – which is evident from her  enviable wardrobe and by the proliferation of her Womenswear client base – particularly in London.

Emily Glover

Fashion Recruitment Consultant

Emily started her career working in Retail Operations for Kurt Geiger starting as a Sales Assistant and progressing to Assistant Manager in store. Emily then moved into Recruitment and received excellent training working with large agencies and big name clients across a range of sectors.

At People Marketing Emily has been able to combine her genuine love of fashion with her knowledge and expertise in Recruitment. Her passion for Womenswear and shoes is evident in her client base and she is working with an ever expanding range of online retailers, looking for those highly sought-after candidates with digital experience, as well as Womenswear and Footwear Suppliers and Brands.

Desiree Sierra-Cuesta

Fashion Recruitment Consultant

Our resident Spaniard Desiree, joined us back in 2013 as an experienced Resourcer to work alongside Clare our Account Director, on UK and International recruitment. A Psychology graduate, Desiree started her recruitment career in Barcelona, where she gained a wealth of experience in the recruitment industry before moving to the UK and joining People Marketing. She learnt quickly, and as her confidence and experience of the Fashion industry grew, she began to take on more of the client-facing role. Four years on (and two children later) Desiree is working as a Recruitment Consultant with her own client base, as well as covering Aimee’s desk whilst she is on maternity leave. Desiree has a strong work ethic, she is determined and honest, which has made her popular with her clients, candidates and colleagues, and they all love her accent!

Elaine Mulvihill

Director of Marketing and Operations

Elaine started in the industry on the Graduate Training scheme at Courtauld’s Textiles and then worked across the business in a variety of commercial roles within branded hosiery, nightwear, maternity and childrenswear. She then worked on new business development for a leading Corporatewear company, bringing in several multi-million pound contracts before moving to People Marketing in 2005. Elaine originally joined the business on an eight week contract (12+ years ago) and now works in the business support functions covering Marketing, IT and Finance.

Likes: Travel and experiencing new cultures.

Dislikes: The Daily Mail 

Facts: Trekked to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda. Met the Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman on a recent trip to New York.

 

 

Nicolette Poyzer

Business Support Team

Nicolette our Senior Business Support Coordinator comes from a Wholesale Account Manager background, working with luxury brands. A self-confessed paperwork junky, Nicolette makes sure the office runs smoothly and our consultants have everything they need to ensure the highest level of service. In what spare time she has (with two small children, hardly any), Nicolette enjoys running, fitness training and can often be found helping bolster the profits of various coffee establishments.

Likes: Espresso, Shoes, bags, running and a nice Merlot.

Dislikes: Clutter and reality TV.

Fact: Has completed two half marathons, numerous 10k's and completed 'The Suffering' one of the UK's toughest obstacle courses!

 

Grace Mitchell

Business Support Team

Grace started her career in retail, working for Jaeger in Nottingham. Prior to returning to the UK Grace studied Psychology at James Cook University in Australia and worked as a Career Advisor/Guidance Counsellor which was useful preparation for her interaction with candidates at  People Marketing.  Along with Nicolette she makes sure the office runs smoothly, and provides good and friendly advice to candidates when they call the office seeking advice on their CV or job search.

Likes: Travelling, seeing new places and experiencing new things.

Dislikes: Heights.

Fact: Has moved back and forth between England and Australia 4 times

 

Liz Gilder

Chairman

Liz, a former HR Director, founded People Marketing in 1989 and under her direction and vision has expanded it from a ‘one-woman band’ into the successful business it is today. Her knowledge of HR and her industry experience has proved invaluable to clients and candidates over the years. Her career has included working for Marks & Spencer and for the hosiery brand Elbeo, before taking the plunge to start her own business. Liz is now semi-retired and has handed over the day-to-day running of the business to the MD Doug Jameson, but she maintains a keen interest in the business and retains an interest as a shareholder and in her role as Chairman.
