Our client is a thriving multi category jersey based supplier of childens/adults apparel. Due to expansion within the business and the development and introduction of new product lines, they are recruiting for an experienced Designer with strong graphic/print design skills. You will be part of a busy team, working with an exciting range of licenses for a mix of fashion retailers, supermarket and ecommerce retailers.
Head Office is based on the border of Derbyshire/Leicestershire.
Licensed Jersey & Graphic Print Designer – The Job Outline
- Responsible for licensed and original graphic / print and shape design (inc. placement, repeats, all over and embellishments).
- Producing co-ordinated ranges to clients’ individual briefs
- Creation of accurate specification artwork
- Handling licensing approvals
- Developing new ideas and trends to translate into commercial ranges, being aware of trims/componentry/new print techniques/embroideries and applications
Licensed Jersey & Graphic Print Designer – The Person Specification
- Ideal applicant will have experience within a similar apparel, jersey or daywear design role with strong graphic/print skills (min2years+).
- Character license/licensing experience is essential.
- A creative individual with a good eye for colour / detail and knowledge of garment construction and understanding of print techniques an advantage .
- Proficient CAD Illustrator/Photoshop.
- Ability to develop and manipulate graphics, prints, slogans, embellishments
- Ability to confidently liaise with buyers and licensors
- Used to working in a fast paced design environment
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload, and be a key member of a supportive design team
