This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly growing Womenswear brand in London, as a Buying Admin Assistant you will have excellent time management skills, a strong commercial awareness and a passion for the industry!

Buying Admin Assistant – The Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide a full administration support service to the Buying Team.
  • Set up costing sheets and ensure costings and price changes are up to date.
  • Raise and issue approved purchase orders and manage the ordering process.
  • Pass accurate trim and wash care information on to the production team for ordering.
  • Support the Buying Team in coordinating sample requests and managing the sample library.
  • Collaborate closely with the Buyer to build, manage, and successfully deliver new products, ensuring effective communication throughout the process.
  • Take ownership of the Critical Path, meticulously monitoring and managing key dates to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with worldwide suppliers, serving as a liaison between them, the Buyer and wider team.
  • Provide support in managing samples for quality assessment, photography, and showroom display.

Buying Admin Assistant – The Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise tasks, multitask and manage projects with deadlines.
  • Approach tasks with a highly organised mindset, consistently demonstrating a commitment to closing and completing tasks.
  • Ability to stay updated on market trends, competitor environment, and the target customer base. Maintaining a keen awareness of the industry, gathering and analysing relevant information to inform decision-making and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Proactive approach to complete work tasks to deadlines and with excellent attention-to-detail.
  • Commercial awareness with an interest in fashion and retail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work well as part of a small growing team.
  • Experience in a retail/buying role, demonstrating a solid understanding of the industry dynamics, buying processes, and retail operations.
  • To thrive in fast-changing environments, showcasing self-motivation, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach.
