We searching for a talented Lingerie Designer to join an established Brand house who is passionate about creating beautiful lingerie & intimates. A Designer who appreciates the intricacies and care it takes to craft the best fitting lingerie without compromising on style, or brand values and their designs will enable customers to feel amazing.
Please note this is a full time, in house position.
Designer – Lingerie – Outline of the Job
- Part of the Design & Development Team. Contribute to explorative research into fashion and consumer trends to aid the development of seasonal trends using various resources and techniques.
- Work with the Creative Director and Senior Designer to develop key overarching creative direction to implement at the beginning of each season, bringing your original ideas to convey freshness and relevance to the product.
- To work closely with suppliers to aid design direction and to develop exclusive fabrics, embroideries, laces, and prints. Communicating professionally and clearly. Negotiate where needed to meet required price points.
- To follow through styles from sketch to production. Actively monitor the conceptual development of innovative and directional product lines from CAD through to finished samples.
- Work with the Technical team throughout the fit process to ensure the integrity of the design is maintained while considering fit and performance integrity.
- Using knowledge of the industry, source and develop fabrics, trims, and prints that represent the fit and feel of the brand. Identify any cost and minimum issues that may affect margin and production levels.
- Complete detailed bill of materials and other relevant costing information for the factories, ensuring proposed products meet the agreed price points and achieve target margin.
- As part of the wider team, join the journey to make improvements concerning sustainability. Sourcing sustainable qualities wherever possible.
Designer – Lingerie – Qualifications & Skillsets
- A passion for Lingerie!
- Ideal candidate will have studied Contour Fashion, or any other fashion-relevant Degree with a focus on lingerie, intimates, swim etc.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Expert knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent presentation skills and strong ability to communicate ideas to the team and wider business when needed
