Description

This trusted manufacturer of children’s and adult licensed apparel is recruiting for a talented Licensed Apparel & Graphic Designer. You will be part of a busy team, working with an exciting range of licenses for a mix of fashion, high volume and online retailers.  Licensing experience will be essential.

Licensed Apparel & Graphic Designer – The Job Outline

  • Create concepts for childrens’ & adults multi-apparel ranges with licensed / original graphics across various properties.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
  • Develop new ideas to translate into commercial ranges, being aware of trims/componentry/new print techniques/embroideries and applications
  • Create accurate artwork, with attention to detail and colour reduction where necessary.
  • Generate and maintain a high standard of design within the customer brief, working to a customer CP per phase.
  • Collaborate with QA/Technical Team to ensure designs are technically feasible and cost-effective.
  • Clearly communicate design concepts and specifications to manufacturers and internal teams.
  • Complete tech packs
  • Handle licensing approvals
  • Attend client presentations as when/required.
  • Work closely with Sales Team, supporting them with required materials to be used for customer meetings. Ensure price needs are met at the design stage.
  • Attend Licensor showcases and share intel with the wider team

Licensed Apparel & Graphic Designer – Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in Licensed Apparel Design (graphic & print skills essential)
  • Ability to develop and manipulate graphics, prints, slogans, embellishments and demonstrates understanding of print techniques
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and standards of excellence
  • Knowledge of garment construction
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop (Mac)
  • Ability to confidently liaise with buyers and licensors
  • Used to working in a fast paced design environment
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • A supportive work colleague with a good sense of humour!
