We are recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser who is obsessive about managing the detail, and who will effectively, and efficiently drive the supply chain. A credible influencer with all stakeholders, and is someone who will always strive to find a solution!.
A background from within a similar supplier fashion or textiles environment, managing key customer/retailer relationships will be essential.
Merchandiser – The Job Outline
- Take day-to-day control of the merchandising activities, and the full critical path process.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with multi-site offshore manufacturing and supply base.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer(s).
- Input / load all purchase orders promptly and accurately.
- Strive to improve ways of working through carrying out regular performance reviews and seeking customer feedback.
- Ensure your Sales Manager is fully up-to-date with progress; highlighting any potential issues and propose solutions where possible.
Merchandiser - Person Specification
- Proven experience as a merchandiser within a supplier environment within fashion/textiles.
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of the garment costing, production process.
- Highly proficient in MSOffice, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills Shows resilience and copes well under pressure
- Flexible approach, with an ability to demonstrate diplomacy and tenacity as required.
- Willingness to travel UK and overseas
- Team player and easily approachable
