Description

My client is one of leading suppliers of accessories to a wide variety of high street brands and this is a fantastic opportunity to join as they are looking for a passionate and creative Design Manager, to join their team based in Manchester.

As Design Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading the design team and overseeing the development of their extensive range of accessories. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the creative vision across multiple product categories, ensuring each product meets the highest standards of quality, innovation, and market relevance.

Design Manager Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring the design team.

Design Strategy and Development:

  • Developing and implementing a cohesive design strategy.
  • Oversee the design process from initial concept through to final product
  • Conduct thorough market research and trend analysis across all product categories

Innovation in Design Technology and AI:

  • Ensure that the team is equipped with the latest resources to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborating with the Product Development and Technical teams to ensure alignment with market needs and manufacturing capabilities.

Product and Trend Analysis:

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, new materials, and innovations within each category to keep our products at the forefront of the industry.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Managing the design department’s budget and resources.

 

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven experience across multiple product categories across ladies’, men’s, kids’, and baby accessories would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to lead and inspire the design team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
