This well-established supplier of apparel, based in the west midlands, are looking for a confident, and capable Garment Tech and QC Executive to work with the Production Manager in their offices in Coventry. You would be responsible for fits, tech packs and factory liaison, ensuring that product meets the requirements for each customer. This is a family business with a solid reputation, looking for someone ready to take ownership of their processes.
Garment Tech and QC Executive – The Role
- Liaise with suppliers offshore daily, build relationships and give feedback.
- Work with customers to understand their requirements/ needs and communicate any issues.
- Complete and amend detailed workbooks/tech packs, including measurements and sketches on Adobe Illustrator as needed.
- Understand, track and select, labels, embroideries and BOMs
- Check garments against measrment charts, design specs and quality requirements
- Request and manage inspection reports, approvals, bulk sign off, testing and lab dips.
- Chase samples, approvals and components in line with the critical path.
Garment Tech and QC Executive – The Person
- Garment Manufacture and Fit experience is essential
- Commercial understanding of costing and wearability of garments
- Attention to detail and ability to manage and create accurate data/records.
- Excellent communication – internally and with overseas suppliers.
- Ability to mange your own workload and make commercial decisions.
