A highly recommended Leicestershire-based client is looking for an organised, collaborative Production Merchandiser to join their friendly and long-standing team at their Head Office. Spanning across 22 years, this business has successfully supplied socks and hosiery to the UK High Street.
As a Production Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing orders from placement through to delivery into the customer, ensuring critical paths are carefully managed and delays don't occur. Another element of this role, is that you will also be responsible for the ordering of raw materials/ approving/ delivery allocation of the packaging of their products.

Production Merchandiser - The Role
- Monitor and consolidate purchase orders and daily reports onto master spreadsheets.
- Request and manage packaging artworks prior to order.
- Manage the fit of product in packaging to ensure security and efficiencies in bulk production.
- Raise orders for packaging components via manual or automated, multi-channel systems.
- Raise orders for finished goods and send onto the factories.
- Assist the technical team to supply all relevant information wash care and fibre information to external printers..
- Manage internal and customer critical paths from order placing to delivery. Advise internal teams when orders need to be placed to achieve customer expectations.
- Liaise with all teams externally and internally on order progress and delivery dates.
- Determine whether any issues that may occur, with any department, will affect delivery and communicate to customer if necessary.
- Manage any packaging changes that impact on other areas in the business & communicate accordingly.
- Liaise with external partners in Turkey, China and Italy to raise and manage orders in line with key dates in the production plan.
- Assist in the development of new packaging ideas

- Well organised with excellent communication skills for dealing effectively at all levels both internally & externally.
- Ability to deal with multiple accounts.
- Analytical & proactive approach to all processes within the business.
- Excellent customer care skills with a helpful, approachable image.
- Ability to articulate clearly and objectively with many character types and cultural differences.
- IT literate.
- Ability to plan & prioritise effectively.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision & contribute to the immediate & wider team.
