This is a rare and exciting Senior Technical Manager position, based permanently in Bangladesh. You will be responsible for managing the operations, technical and quality standards for the region, and you will lead and develop a large team. You will be the key point of contact for senior level quality and fit queries across Womens, Mens, Kids and Homewares and you will be involved in the strategic planning of business growth and development.
Technical Manager - The Role:
- You will be the main contact for UK customers/buyers in relation to all technical and quality issues.
- You will manage a large garment & fabric technical team as well as relationships with numerous garment and fabric suppliers.
- You will ensure all safety, compliance and quality standards for UK retail are adhered to and carry out inspections and improvement plans.
- You will ensure smooth communication of customer briefs and tech packs to the suppliers and manage the sample development process.
- You will manage customer technical and development visits and audits in the region.
- You will have the knowledge to advise on production procedures and methods for cost effective production
- You will share knowledge and best practices with other senior Technical Heads internationally and in the UK and strategically plan business improvements
Technical Manager - The Person:
- You will have experience working in a similar role as Senior Tech or Technical Manager.
- You will have multi product, multi gender knowledge and excellent understanding of working with worldwide factories.
- You will have a hands on knowledge of garment construction and commercial manufacture processes
- You will have strong management experience and be confident to build a team.
- You must have experience working with UK retailers in a UK Based Head Office and be willing to permanently relocate to Bangladesh.
