Description

Exciting and rare opportunity for a Colourist to join an industry leading  manufacturer of branded lingerie & swimwear.  Reporting to the Head of Raw Materials, you will be working across a wide range of fibres, fabrics and products.  It involves colour matching a wide variety of components including fabrics, trims, laces, embroideries and prints.

This is a fast paced and varied role working as part of a friendly and supportive team within a European Head Office environment.  We are able to consider applicants looking for full time (30hrs per week) or reduced working hours (34hrs per week).

Job Description : Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Design Teams to agree upon and select appropriate colour standards on Seasonal and Continuity lingerie and swimwear ranges.
  • Oversee the process of actioning labdyes to external partners using portal system.
  • Review incoming labdyes and bulk submissions and make accurate visual assessments using a Verivide Light Cabinet or a Spectrophotometer (if required).
  • Communicate clearly using the portal with all Suppliers to ensure all colour requirements are understood and followed and that all products are approved to meet business critical path deadlines.
  • Drive the colour approval process (from sales samples through to bulk production) to ensure on time delivery.
  • Input colour-related information into the PLM system (Product Lifecycle Management) and access colour information from ERP system.
  • Attend weekly design & production meetings to review colour progress.
  • Provide colour-related technical support to manufacturing sites across multiple locations.

Job Description : Qualifying Criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in colour management of raw materials within the apparel industry
  • Good technical understanding of textile colouration (ideally from a dyeing background, but not essential)
  • Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Colour Management Systems, particularly DataColor and Spectral Data tolerances.
  • Excellent team player, happy to ‘get involved’ with the ability to communicate well.
  • Efficient in MS office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
  • Applicants will be UK based, and have full eligibility to work in the UK.
