My client is a well-established garment manufacturer, based in the Midlands, are looking for a Junior Garment Tech to join a small team. You will work on multi product, formal and casual apparel. Working closely with the Production and Development team managing approvals, production, quality and inspections from international suppliers.
This is an in house role, reduced hours can be considered.
Junior Garment Tech / QC – The Role
- Liaise with suppliers internationally and build strong relationships
- Manage customer communication and submissions, problem solving and managing customer expectations.
- Understand supplier capabilities and market trends to ensure quality and process are up to date, work on corrective action plans as required.
- Understand client requirements and translate briefs to ensure cost effective and quality manufacture processes.
- Manage workbooks, quality standards and supplier output
- Manage technical data including customer trims and components, care labels and BOMs.
- Manage approvals, and check quality against gold seals/specs.
- Keep accurate records of client approval, fabric and trim libraries, and test reports.
- Manage sample development/submission process, check measurements/specs and communicate with clients and suppliers with comments & sign offs.
Junior Garment Tech / QC – The Person
- You will be commercially aware, and able to advise cost effective processes.
- You will have an excellent attention to detail and maintain accurate data on the ERP systems.
- You will have strong communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to problem solve as well as make decisions
- You will be a team player, also able to work independently and prioritise workloads, meeting deadlines and managing critical path timelines.
- Consistent and methodical processes and reporting is essential.
