Job Description

You will be part of a busy creative team, creating multiproduct jerseywear, with character licence and original graphic design. Working with an exciting range of current licenses for a mix of retailers. This opportunity seeks someone with confident CAD skills and great trend awareness.

Designer – Graphic/Print - The Role

  • Research trends, colours, fabrics and create designs & ranges according to the customer’s brief and making any necessary changes to existing designs
  • To respond quickly and effectively to the needs and requirements of both the customer and the other Designers.
  • To develop and acquire a commercial awareness of garment costs in order to provide design solutions with creative focus whilst still in accordance with the customer’s budget.
  • Prepare presentation boards, attend client meetings as required.
  • Originate accurate artwork (print set-ups) for prints, embroideries, packaging, branding tools and other effects.
  • Liaise with internal teams, factories and suppliers, to ensure artwork is well-received, understood and interpreted correctly.
  • Organise garment designs for approval by the licensor (e.g. Disney, Nickelodeon etc.), with the relevant style, print and colour references.
  • To review, analyse and comment on strike-offs of prints, embroideries and other effects.
  • Maintain an awareness of current and forecasted fashion and clothing trends.
  • To carry out all duties within the necessary time frame and constraints of the critical path.

Senior Designer – Graphic/Print - The Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have 5years commercial design experience in jerseywear design and fashion print/graphic skills.  Previous character licence design for kids or adults would be advantageous.
  • A creative individual with a good eye for colour / detail and knowledge of garment construction.
  • Highly proficient CAD Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Confident ability to develop and manipulate graphics, prints, slogans, embellishments is essential.
  • Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to organise work load according to priority and deadlines
  • Confident communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Thrives within a fast paced but fun environment.
