Job Description

Are you an experienced Pattern Technologist, with confident Gerber skills, looking for a new challenge in the Yorkshire region?  Our client is a specialist quality manufacturer and supplier in their field of apparel and this exciting challenge is recruiting now!

Pattern Technologist – The Job Opportunity

  • Maintaining the Gerber PDS pattern database
  • Creating new patterns and altering existing patterns. 
  • Establish grading on MTM base rules tables
  • Manually adjust pattern pieces that cannot be processed by the MTM system
  • Coordinate and monitor marker making for bulk and MTM orders
  • Create detailed Technical Data Packs and sealed samples for customer approval
  • Create detailed product manufacturing specifications and samples for production units
  • Manage and control raw material and finished garment samples
  • Coordinate and control product development projects
  • Source and verify raw materials and liaise with suppliers
  • Liaise with customers and deal with technical queries
  • Work with the Commercial Department to complete all tender submission requirements
  • Provide technical support to all manufacturing sites, working closely with production personnel

Pattern Technologist – The Person Specification

  • Proven experience within pattern technology/pattern cutting, with ‘hands on’ Gerber Accumark software is essential. 
  • A knowledge of tailoring, suiting, formalwear or uniforms is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/pre-production environment would be beneficial
  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate technical packs for submission to factories & customers, and handle any queries
  • Confident communicator: ability to liaise directly with customers, suppliers and work effectively as part of a team
  • Organised, efficient and delivery focussed with commercial approach
  • Good analytical ability and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office. 
  • Supervisory, or team management experience (desirable, not essential)
  • Ability to travel within UK and overseas if required

This opportunity is open to applicants with a couple of years’ experience looking to progress in their career, to senior pattern technologist level with supervisory management experience.
