Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity not to be missed for an experienced Menswear Designer, to work for a lifestyle brand with a proud heritage in cloth and clothing and literally make a lifestyle move!  Their location is in stunning County Donegal.

Designer – Men’s Multiproduct & Lifestyle Collection

  • As Designer for Mens’ Multiproduct, you will be responsible for the design, development & sourcing of a full lifestyle collection incorporating outerwear coats & jackets, trousers/chino’s, casual & formal shirting, polo’s/sweats and knitwear
  • Working with the Director, to compile and create a coherent collection in-line with the brand image
  • Researching and identifying trends, producing colour/theme & swatch boards, with particular attention to trim and fabric detailing
  • Attending international trade fairs and comp shopping and keeping an eye of directional influences
  • Identifying and sourcing complimentary garments to sit within the collection
  • Working closely with suppliers to develop commercial ranges from concept to delivery
  • Working with garment and fabric technical team, attending fit meetings etc.
  • Producing detailed tech packs, and setting up bill of materials
  • Managing the critical path process from design conception to delivery into store
  • Working closely with merchandising, planning and marketing

Designer – Men’s Multiproduct & Lifestyle Collection

  • Previous experience in designing multiproduct menswear is essential. Minimum 4-5years relevant menswear multi garment design experience, ideally with a casual/outerwear or a lifestyle handwriting
  • A knowledge of garment detailing will be important as well as technical knowledge of fabrics used across the collection
  • You will have a creative talent and commercial awareness with a flair for identifying trends, fabrics and trim details and translating them into “must-have” product
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign
  • You have excellent communication skills and a dynamic personality, whether liaising with suppliers and factories or presenting concepts and collections
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload
  •  A team player
  • A knowledge of pattern cutting, negotiating prices with suppliers would be an advantage
