Job Description

The role is responsible for the long term management & strategic revenue growth of the brand within selected Key Account partners, developing and maintaining a strong collaborative approach with local cross functional resource in UK, European and US offices, to ensure brand plans and profitable growth is achieved. You will be responsible for 3 sales executives reporting into this role.

Key Account Manager - The Role

  • Required to build strong relationships with Senior Business Partners (across buying, sales, merchandising, logistics & marketing) of National/Key Accounts to successfully manage designated Key Account partners.
  • Actively participates in projects and working parties, or to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit, that will benefit the individual, the Division or the Company as a whole.
  • Provides leadership for the commercial group exhibiting best in class practices & behaviors.
  • To achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets for all the accounts
  • Maximise, maintain and defend the profitability targets of the brand across all accounts
  • Planning and delivering new seasons range sell-in to existing and potential business
  • Attend regular sales meetings as arranged by the Sales Manager, preparing sales reports, sell through information and other necessary information on the accounts plus other information as requested by the Sales Manager, supporting the Sales Manager where requested in formatting and delivering the sales meetings
  • Visiting and building relationships with buying teams and store staff in accounts doors
  • Accountable for all forward order and in season business, in line with season targets and delivered via close appreciation of sell through and inventory holding
  • Support the ongoing development of direct reports.

Key Account Manager - The Candidate

  • Previous experience working in a wholesale sales role, selling to multi door retailers and / or Key Accounts
  • Management of a large sales book (< 8m per year)
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment in performing all duties of the position
  • Previous experience with multi-functional organisations
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients and other employees of the organisation
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to travel both in the UK and Internationally as required and at short notice
