Job Description

My client has over 50 years’ experience of developing quality outdoor clothing and is one of the leading UK brands of technical, high performance fabrics and outdoor apparel.

They are currently looking for an E-Commerce Executive who will be involved in all aspects of e-commerce. This role involves interaction with a number of other key functions in the business and will be assist in driving traffic to the websites, tracking campaign performance and results, and suggesting improvements to online customer experience and ways of increasing conversion, sales and profit.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the direct marketing function and help in achieving the sales targets set through effective digital and mail order campaigns and promotions
  • Increase conversion and basket spend through on line merchandising opportunities
  • Driving e commerce sales , planning and coordination of new web site launches
  • Assisting with planning of the email calendar/campaigns in line with the marketing communications activities including brief, creative concept, copyrighting and proofing
  • Liaising with the designers and web development team on website developments
  • Working with the marketing and social media teams to review and add relevant content to the sites
  • Liaise with brand marketing team to maximise ROI to ensure that digital is correctly managed across a diverse range of marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and review competitor and market activity. Identify areas of possible development
  • Develop and drive forward the loyalty program, monitoring and reviewing the loyalty scheme
  • Liaise with the Head of Direct Marketing on the DM P&L for both websites, which includes ongoing budget management

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with the ability to multi task and work well under pressure. You will have excellent time management, organisational skills and good attention to detail.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years working on commercial e-commerce sites
  • Familiar with basic technology systems and how data can be used to power decisions and creative, including the role of dynamic content
  • Experienced in working with website teams and the importance of suitable landing pages
  • Previous experience in digital marketing driving sales and analysing performance
  • Naturally creative and ideas-led
  • The ability to deliver projects within time and budget
  • Experience of full e-commerce mix
