Job Description

A new and exciting opportunity for a Babywear Designer to join a leading, design led supplier of licensed apparel.

Babywear Designer – The Role

  • Responsible for designing ranges of commercial, babywear licensed garments for some exciting retailers on the UK High Street, this includes both garment and graphic elements
  • Carry out trend research to produce exciting, innovative trend and mood boards for licensed product to inspire the team and buyers
  • Working closely with the Sales team, attending meetings at retailers and presenting cads/samples to buyers
  • Sound knowledge of fabrics/printing methods and techniques essential
  • Proficient on Mac in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Exciting foreign travel opportunities

Babywear Designer - The Candidate

  • Dynamic, creative and driven
  • A good exposure to baby/childrenswear garment and graphic design
  • Used to working in a fast paced design environment
  • Excellent CAD skills
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate and hardworking with a love for licensed product
  • Sound knowledge of garment construction essential
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
