An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Representative to join an award winning fashion business that is growing rapidly in strength and reputation through its innovative clothing designs.

My client is looking to appoint a dedicated and successful sales person to cover London and the South East.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to capitalise and leverage existing brand success, take on existing accounts and establish new ones, building on the increasing interest and popularity in this region.

Area Sales Representative – The Role

The successful candidate will focus on targeting key independents, small retail chains and department stores. You will be accountable for reaching wholesale sales, and ensuring that the high service level and standards are maintained using an approach that will not only increase sales but will also raise the brand profile within the marketplace.

  • Reporting into the Head of Sales, and working alongside two other Area Sales Representatives who look after the north and south, agree the sales strategy, and the approach for your region.
  • Maximise sales and profitability in line with agreed budgets
  • Hands on management of Key Accounts including fixing and attending sales appointment and store visits in each season.
  • Develop a pipeline of prospects, delivering new business wins and build the portfolio of wholesale doors including ‘shop in shop’ opportunities in line with targets.  Represent the brand at trade shows supporting both agents and customers in attendance.
  • Analyse and drive business opportunities
  • Manage the look and feel of the brand in wholesale doors across the region ensuring visual merchandising and product knowledge standards are improved and maintained.
  • Increase the value of committed customer orders prior to stock purchase in line with targets.
  • Assessing and responding to inbound account enquiries in line with brand standards.
  • Utilise the seasonal stock holding which serves as opportunistic business in the region.
  • Travel throughout London and the SE on a regular basis is a requirement of this role

Area Sales Representative – The Candidate

  • Previous fashion sales experience.
  • Account/geography knowledge within London and the SE
  • Established relationships with buyers within the region.
  • Good general knowledge of wholesale business in London and the SE: independent stores mainly, however knowledge of department stores is advantageous.
  • Experience working within the mid-market clothing sector.
  • A track record of new business wins and exceeding sales targets.
  • Sensitivity and keen interest for fashion. Knowledge of ethical fashion a bonus.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
