We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced childrenswear designer for girlswear.

Our client is a leading high street retailer who is looking for a 'super creative' designer, someone who has that 'extra special' edge to their handwriting and design ideas.  You will be working on either older girls woven or jerseywear design. 

Childrenswear Designer - The Role
You will need a minimum of 4-5yrs commercial design previous experience (post qualification) within this product area and you must be competent using Photoshop/Illustrator. We are open to candidates who have been working on fast fashion ladies or teenswear who would like to design for a younger market,

This role is very much trend led and you will have a key role to play in developing your conceptual idea's into commercial ranges, identifying trends and translating looks for the baby boys range offering, working on range selections with buyer participation etc.  Researching trends for colour, fabrics and style direction, comp shopping and visiting shows, presenting your idea's to internal teams and working with suppliers. 

Confident CAD skills are essential.
