A fantastic opportunity has arisen to come and join a leading high street manufacturer, supplying multi product womenswear to some of the biggest players on the UK High Street.
They are looking for a Junior Pattern Cutter & Grader to join their personable and friendly team in Central London. You will be responsible measuring patterns, digitising in their CAD system, making pattern amends following fit sessions and grading.
This role is ideally for someone with some experience of the Vetigraph system, however candidates with other computer programs such as Investronica, Gerber and Lectra will also be considered.
This is an additional head for the business due to growth, and the business shows no sign of slowing down!
Junior Pattern Cutter/ Grader- The Role
- Measure vendor samples and patterns
- Create production specifications and send to vendor.
- Digitise patterns for the factory on Vetigraph system.
- Apply grading to meet customer specifications.
- Grading and sealing patterns for production.
- Be involved in sample development to ensure styles are workable at Bulk stage
- Ensure all samples/garments are constructed using most appropriate, efficient method.
- Build solid working relationships with offshore factories.
- Work to critical path, sealing and manufacturing deadlines.
- Undertake store visits to review product and true bulk quality.
- Provide integral admin assistance and general support to the Technical Manager.
Junior Pattern Cutter/ Grader- The Candidate
- Looking for a confident self-motivated individual with 2yrs proven experience in a similar role/ supply company.
- Previous experience using a CAD pattern system is a must.
- Good knowledge of garment construction and womenswear fast fashion.
- Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills.
- Proven ability of ensuring production is delivered to customer specification through liaison with factory, customer and colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure and to key deadlines on the Critical Path
- Team player.
